Looking for a front left quarterpanel -- 1985 300SD
...silver...with blue striping...
Anyone have one of these? If so, how much...and where are you? Does anyone have any experience with how much these things cost to replace labor-wise (I'm not the guy to replace it)?

As noted in my sig-line, I know very little about cars... My dad always called it a "quarter panel"...
Anyhow, it's the hunk of metal that contains the wheel well...between the driver-side door and the bumper...you know, the part of the car that, when you're looking at the driver-side door from across the parking lot will be immediately left of the door. Have I beaten a dead horse enough? I'm guessing this is what you guys call a "fender". To show you how little I know, I always thought "fender" and "bumper" were interchangable terms! So, how much for something like this? And, to make it silver w/ matching pin-striping? And, to take the old damaged one off and replace with the new one?

I don't know if I need the wheel well or not...
How would I tell? The car is 100% driveable.

Thanks everyone...
I'm looking for a fender because I parked on the street one day, and my neighbor across the street backed into it at about 3mph.

It sounds like you have no experience with any kind of bodywork, so this probably isn't something you should try to do yourself. Mike
