Indie Shops in Charlottesville VA?
After an uneventful trip from the DC area, my S500 Coupe is cranking but not starting. Recommendation of a good indie much appreciated.
TIA

I've heard nothing but good reports on the dealer there too. I think the name is Brown's? They did a PPI for me and were extremely good and helpful and reasonable. They work closely with the MBCA chapter in town and give an MBCA discount too I think.

I've heard nothing but horror stories regarding the dealers in/around S.W VA.. They are what gave me my start when I was in Lexington..no one w/ in an hour of me wanted to use the dealer and thus the phone started to ring once word got out that I was working on these cars.
There was 1 indy in C-ville I had heard good things about..all I can remember is he was on top of a hill...:-/ Jonathan

A Happy Ending
The problem turned out to be low fuel. My daughter drove the car down from DC and parked it on a steep sideways slope. The gauge was showing about 1/8. I put 4 gallons of gas in it and it started uneventfully. I then drove it to a gas station and put another 20+ gallons in it.
So my nightmare of having to by an ignition module or some other expensive part from a dealer didn't happen. Thanks for the responses.

With apologies to Stoney, if he's talking about Blueridge Motor Works, the local BMW independent shop, I'll have to disagree. I've had personal experience with them and though they seem nice as pie, they're slippery. Rebuilt transmission sold as NEW, for example. The BMW dealer's a better choice. Not sure they work on Benz in any case.
