Plymouth Meeting, PA
I have had good experiences at German Auto Specialists in Plymouth Meeting, PA over the past couple of years. I've referred my Dad there as well with his 2000 BMW 323i, and he has also been satisfied.

German Auto In Norristown
True Story about German Auto
They flipped my car over 110 degrees, crushed the pass door & mirror. hired a salvage company to drag it out of thier shop so as not to interupt the schedule. Then they called me. They were worried about thier deductible and then tried to convince me to take it to a local body shop. Checked out the body shop and saw a race car van in the back. from past expierence never do business with a shop that has an expensive hobby. They generally cut corners to pay for the hobby. I had it shipped to Classic coach works in Upper Darby. Then the fight with the insurance company ensued. Zurrich offered me 20 percent less than wholesale after ignoring my calls for 2 weeks. During this time I had death in the family and was out on the West coast for a few days. Then I got the call from the car rental telling me that my claim number was bogus and I would need to return the car. I then went back to upper Darby on a cold December Saturday morning to get my car back and had to pay them $1,200 dollars for 10 days of storage. I drove the car home and put it in my garage. I suspected but cannot prove Fraud. I believe they wanted the car for parts. The next Bussiness day I got the call from Zurrich asking me what I was up to. I told them I am controlling the destiny of my car. I also stated they had committed fraud with the Bogus Claim Number. Informed them that I had called the State Police and Hired a lawyer. We started out suing German Auto and Zurrich called back to tell Us we needed to deal with them. I told them German Auto did not have enough insurance. I told them I was financing my own repair and would sue German Auto for my cost. This pissed them off... I called the insurance commisioner on them as well. I am fortunate enough that I could buy my way out of this situation. Zurrich felt by ignoring me for 2 weeks I would get nervous and act Like I needed them. Boy were they wrong. In the end I did get my car fixed and Zurrich paid every last dime. I also took out ads in the wall street Joural with a fact based message of what they tried to do to me. I did this to affect their Stock if I could. My goal was to make sure some incopetent bean counter manager(s) at Zurrich did not meet thier metrics and it affected their Bonus. Zurrich picked the wrong person to screw with. I am still not done with them... Even my own insurance Company turned out to be turds. Electric Insurance. The made a ridiculous low offer as well telling me they do not pay dealer costs. I am certain they German Auto did not do this on purpose but sometimes I wonder. I found out later thru a friend that knew someone that worked there that this was all just a big joke for German Auto. |
