Fredericksburg tranny failure in 92 Ford Explorer
Hello ,
A friend on his way to Florida just broke down in the Fredericksburg area of route 95 South in his 92 Ford Explorer , 5 speed . He left it there and rented a car to get his stuff to Florida. He'll be back for the Explorer on Sunday or Monday? Does anyone know of an "honest" repair facility in the area ? |

would be nice to hear how this worked out for your friend.
Funny, in my circle we refer to this model ford as an "exploder" due to tranny failure. Its always nice to read threads that have closure. Curious to know how the adventure ended.

I have a ford ranger, and I always take it to Purvis ford. . .prices are fair, and the workmanship is superb. It's off of Rt. 1. Hopefully it all goes well for your friend!
Cheers -Joe EDIT: just noted the time when the OP was...lol i'm a little late |
