Wheel Refinishing
I have to give a shout out for Ye Olde Wheel Shop on Route 1 in Elkridge/Jessup. I've now had two sets of wheels refinished there, including having them perfectly re-rounded, stripped, and painted. While it ain't the cheapest route to go, if you want to take a set of wheels with potential and make them like new, this place can do it. I'd say they are every bit as good as Wheel Collision Center in Allentown, PA (I've had wheels refinished by them, too). I'll try and post pics of the set of Centras they just did for me later today.

I stopped by Ye Old Wheel Shop. I have a set of rough BBS RA's and the cost of refinishing $145 on top of two having bends ($75), it just wasn't worth getting them done. If they included the bend mending in the refinishing price, I may have gone for it.
I have heard mixed reviews from the Subaru crowd. |

Like I said, it's not the least expensive route to take. I've also used a couple of mobile refinishing outifts, but they just do minimal surface prep and paint single-stage paint. Not very exciting results, though workmanlike and only about $300 a set.
What's your plan for your wheels now?

I am unsure what I am doing with the rims. I just need them trued, I can do the face repair, media blasting, and I have a body man who does wheels.
I spent to much on the wheels, and I still need to get tires/center caps. |
