Hunt Valley Imported Auto Service in Hunt Valley, Maryland is a great shop that works for nearly 1/5 of the price of Valley. Their telephone number is 410-666-3600 and the man to ask for is Chris Connely. They have worked on my car, and many of my friends imports, not just mercedes. They have about 15 W123 assortments in the back lot as parts cars, so W123 owners like myself have an advantage. Cignatto Motor Works, Just outside Baltimore - Opinions?
I found a new shop just north of Baltimore.
Cignatta Motor Works 2111 Emmorton Park Road Abington, MD He has a nice clean shop, been in business for a while and he and his son run the business. Anyone have any experience with this shop. If not, I'll give it a shot and let all know my experience. JCD

My son is going to college in the Towson/Baltimore, Md area and we need a good independent shop to take care of his 1981 240D.....anyone know a good shop in this area?

Baltimore shops?
Just bought my C240 from R&H Mercedes in Owings Mills. About to try their service dept. for a rough running engine. Anyone have any recommendations about them or Valley Mercedes (the other Baltimore option)?

Chhay's Inc on Eastern Shore of Maryland
Has anyone dealt with Chhay's before? I am new to this area (maryland) and was wondering how their service is. The only other dealer nearby is Mercedes Benz of Annapolis and my results there have been spotty at best. Every time I get my car back something else different is wrong with it. One time they even lost my keys....

Big Mistake!
Sorry I glowingly mentioned this shop! Timing Chain was done today and they bent a valve or two when they started it back up!
Trying to explain to me that it was not something they did and that the valve was already bent! Gotta say NOOOOO! Anyway I'm $3000 poorer because of it! Find someone else!

Avoid Annapolis.
In Easton there is Midshore Imports and also Whitley's Automotive, which is actually out in the boondocks, about 20 minutes from Easton. Been going to both places for years. Honest work always done. Mike

Alan, they do repairs and sell vehicles as well.
Mike, thanks for the info. I agree, Annapolis is probably about the worst place I have ever been for service. They have even lost my keys before when I was in for service. On top of that they charge 85/hr labor. Thanks for the leads on the other places, I will keep them in mind. I wound up going to Chhay's for my 300E to convert to R134. They did an excellent job and they were reasonably priced. So far so good, so I would recommend them to anyone else. Thanks. Shawn

Looking for reputable paint and body shop in the D.C. Baltimore area that understand German cars, their paint jobs, and of course a superior job.

body shop
I've had my wife's C230K ($7500 in damage) and my A4 ($500 in damage) into Zamora's Auto Body on Gude Drive in Rockville and was pleased with both repairs. The new paint they put on both cars is indistinguishable from the rest of the car. Talk to Eric or Andy -- they're the owners.
