More crankshaft position sensor questions
Having some tough luck.
Ordered a Sensor online. Even gave the vendor my VIN. Paid $80+ at 1st glance looked right. It has the wrong electric hook up. Non returnable. I am out $80. I was sent the Flywheel interlock double f6010-70575 My next purchase is Crankshaft position Interlock single f6010-140094. My questions are why ? are these different ? ? what does double and single mean ? Why 2 types for same engine? If only they had pictures of these parts before I order. The one I have is so close yet so far. I will update this post if the CPS interlock single works or not. ANY input welcome. I'm all ears.Note my sensor has the elect clip guide on the back side from the mounting bold. My erroronous $80.00 replacement has the guide on the side. Cant go anywhere with my old sensor on my work bench. And my new one not fitting, SEPTEMBER 20 UPDATE. 2nd sensor arrived this morning. It fit even though the Bosch stamped numbers on the side were not the same. I installed it in 60 seconds. 1st 3 short test drives a success. No Stalling. But check engine light came on for 1st time. 2005 UPDATE: All is well- my problem was the Crankshaft Position Sensor. Happy Trails.
