Front Brake Pads Done, but, A Question?
Maybe a little paranoid about getting this job right, so I want to ask -
1. The Torx bit bolts on the driver side didn't go back in as far as they were when I removed them. The distance inside their rubber "booty's" changed by 1/8" - 1/4" inch, but they are definately in as far as the threads could go - there's a "stop" to how far they go into the bracket, and I reached that stop. 2. Should these bolts be secured with lock-tight to keep from vibrating out, or reset after some drive time? The job was easy once you see it for yourself. |
As the pads wear and the caliper these bolts will slide into those rubber sleeves further and further. When you replace the pads the bolts will be out much further than before you replaced them.
