My 00 ML55 SRS light is on. Any tips on what to check for or how to diagnose the problem.

Simular problem with my ML430 last year was caused by faulty child seat sensor in the passenger seat. One dealer tired to tell me our cell phone caused it. ;)

You can quickly diagnose the problem with SDS. It'll tell you exactly what is setting the light.

You should have it checked it out, as a bad module can fry the associated bag, and that means more $$. Common problems are the seat sensor for the BabySmart system, seatbelt latches, and individual bag modules. If it's a bad module or bag, isolate the poor component from the system until parts arrive so that you don't wreck more stuff.
