air filter direction?
 

i put in a new filter today and its different from the old one. new filter is stepped and i wasnt sure which way to put in. it made more sense to put the thinner side toward the grill and the thick part to firewall. i just want to make sure i put it in correctly. which way is the right way? thanks

I just replaced the cabin air filter in my '94 E320 and, if I recall correctly, the filter itself actually said which side goes up. Look at it closely and see if yours has similar instructions.

I belive you are talking about Air Filter
Install the step lower to the front of the car.
If you see ther is a big openning for Air in.
