ML55, USA or German built

Posted the same Question in the Tech forum w/ no response.

Correct if im wrong but arent all ML trucks built in the US?
Does that inlcude the ML55 AMG? Is it built in the US as well?

The ML55 is built at One Mercedes Drive, Vance, Albahama

Engines and transmissions are manufactured in Germany and shipped to Alabama for assembly on all ML's AFAIK.

Yes but ML55 "assembled" in Bama
But....Vance is a very nice German Community in West Central Alabama

Im sure its a fine town, with nice cars!. The problem is the US assembled vehicles dont appear to be a as "sturdy" as the german counterparts. But i love my 55!
