How to reinstall front passenger B pillar (seatbelt) trim
On my 98 ml320 the plastic trim through which the front passenger seatbelt extends has separated from & come off the frame. How do I reattach it? Thanks.

Going by memory:
Need to remove the door sill plate, you'll see a few screws under the threshold plates, and also move the passengers seat all the way ahead and there are a couple screws at the bottom of the door sill plate. Once that's off, you'll see 2 screws holding the bottom of the B pillar trim. Remove those, then the top of the B pillar trim just pops off. The seatbelt sliding part can just be reinserted into the grooves, assuming none of the plastic is broke, it's pretty tough though. Gilly |
Thanks, Gilly. Fortunately, I didn't need to take out the bottom half. Just lined up the plastic trim with the seatbelt holder, reattached the top clip (what an overly designed clip!) and popped it back in. Every once in a while, its an easy one I guess.
