Similar problem

I have a similar problem where the car will start fine but will stall if left to idle for more that about 5 minutes. Once it has stalled it won't start again for anything from 10 to 30 minutes. The garage working on the problem has replaced the O2 sensors and the fuel pump relay and has now told me that the ECU (Engine Control Unit) is faulty - Could this not be the same problem?

yes.

if you have over 70,000 miles--
it is a 5 minute job and $55 - -
I would consider it preventive maintenance even if you dont need it now.
