Window Switch: Completely taken apart

My drivers side window switch was very difficult to depress. I could depress it and the window would go up and down fine. I've had the usual window switch problems and I've replaced the unit. This time I decided to take it apart which I did without breaking anything. See photo below.

I removed the white part of the switch for the driver's window and then put it back in and it now pivots fine, i.e. the same effort as for the other window switches. It must I gotten misaligned although I've hadn't a clue how. In any case it works fine now.
