missing sway bar links!

my rear shocks are creaking badly so i went under the truck to take a look today and guess what? sway bar links on both sides are missing! i never paid attention to this so i dont know if they fell off or they never came with the car. rear sway bushings look unstressed and new so im guessing they were never installed. we owned this car since new and had all the services done at the dealer and warranty expired couple of months ago. ill be putting on all new shocks next week so im not worried but could this have damaged the rear suspension in any way? can somebody with a 2002 320 slide under and check if yours is missing as well? im confused

Good opportunity to toss in a pair Energy Suspension endlinks. Probably cheaper than stock and readily available at AutoZone or a local speed shop. Toughest part is measuring. Changing the shocks is a fun job.
