How to reset SRS light?

Today while replacing door lock actator, had to move car before job was done, and thought that I had fully reseated the airbag connector, but did not.

Fully reseated connector but now SRS light stays on though I know for sure everything is seated properly.

So how do I reset the SRS light without a trip to the dealer?

Thanks everyone and happy holidays.

PS-Successfully completed job. Kinda a PIA job, the 4mm hex bolt behind the lock cylinder is tricky to get with long allen. Definately a job that would go significantly faster doing it again having done one.

I've no idea if this will work but it might be worth disconnecting the battery for an hour or so and see if that resets the computor memory.....nothing to lose by trying it....

SRS Reset

Happy ending to story.

Found an indy from inlaws (that does alot of work on their Mercedes x 3), and he cheerfully reset SRS light for free. As I suspected, literally 2-3 minutes of total work.

The moral here is don't mess with SRS connectors.

In the USA by law the SRS system can only be re-set with scanner!

AS you say not a system to mess with!
