I own a 98 ML320, 60Kmiles. Like 2 weeks ago, the power locks quit working. It'll activate and deactivate the alarm, but it wont unlock the doors, and i can't unlock it using the boton at the console. Any one have any idea of what may the problem be?

I believe your vehicle and keys need to be resynchronized. First get in the vehicle and close all the doors. Then turn the key to the ON (#2) position, then OFF, remove the key. Within 10 seconds hold down lock button, push unlock button 5 times, then release button and push any of the remote buttons. This procedure is outlined in your manual; possibly referred to as resetting your alarm.

When I did this, your symptons were mine to a T. It took me several attempts until I was successful. Perhaps you could try a few more times. Things to keep in mind are the doors closed and the ten second rule. Make sure you have a good battery in the remote as well. If this doesn't work, I'm tapped out on ideas. You could always do a quick search under this forum for "remote" and see if other threads had similar problems. Good Luck.

My 99 just started doing about the same thing except the remote totally doesn't work (even after new batteries) nor the lock/unlock button on the console.... They do however lock themselves automatically at 8 or 9 MPH If you find a solution please let us know
