ML32o_won't start

My 1999 ML320 will not start. I noticed even though the gas tank shows about 1/2 a tank the low fuel light is "ON". I wonder if this is an indication of a fuel pump problem. The engine turns over, but will not even fire. Help!

The fuel tank level sending unit is part of the fuel pump assembly.. You need to see if you have any fuel OR fuel pressure.

If the starter turns over, but the engine won't fire, try a different key. Could be as simple as a battery in your fob or the it is malfunctioning.

I was thinking the key too, easiest to check. When cranking over, see if the odometer display says "start error"

ML 320 Wont start

Thanks for the inputs. It was the fuel pump. Had it replaced along with the fuel filter. Sure glad I got a warranty with the car!!!
