tie rod boot kit

I am planning on replacing the outer tie rods on my 98, and thinking of replacing the inner tie rods as well while I am at it. Do you guys recommend replacing the rubber boot that covers the inner tie rod? MB has a boot kit available at reasonable cost. I checked the rubber boot and it seems fine, but just the pain to take things apart to replace the boot in the future if it does break.

Wolfgang, do yopu know if these repairs are done as goodwill after the original warranty has expired; I am the original owner of my 1998 ml. Thanks.

It depends on the dealer. Never hurts to ask.. :)

I doubt it will be covered. My dealer won't even warrant their last bad alignment.
