General Q, I currently drive a ml320, 136K trouble free. I am considering up-grading to a 350, or 500. I prefer the sport package look but can live without it. My Q's here: 1> noting the ml500's seem to have a fairly low resale value relative to there age / mileage ratio. 2 > ml350's seem to be just sightly priced under the 500's on adverage. * and 320's are just a hair lower that the 350's. ( vehicle years I am looking at are 2002 - 2004 )
Other than power, are there any real major differences in the 350 to 500's. Is the only real difference in the power area. I live in Houston and want to use the vehicle to drive to Palm Desert area of Calif and back when I feel like a good drive to overview some business matters. ( may leave it there for extended periods, but I like to drive and think so need the option open ) As far as the 320 vehicle is fine. Just figure I will sell it now and up grade while the miles are not so so high. Thoughts on this would be appreciated. I will not be towing anything, pretty much just a day to day vehicle. thanks |

1.Steer clear of the ML320's
2.The ML500's are great, but eat gas like its there job 3.The ML350's are great, but after driving the 500,you really cant switch to anything else but the 500. 4.The guy who I bought my 2003 ML500 with 42,000 miles from, sold it to me for $23,500 and he can get you one as well if you would like.Hes a wholesaler. 5.The 500's tend to have navigation,as the 350's only some do. 6.I use my ML500 as a daily driver, and its awesome. Advise,go for the ML500 and not the ML320.

The newer the ML the better quality build..
IF fuel mileage is a question then go to the 350...if you plan to TOW over 2500lbs then the 500 is the way to go..

Try to get one with the navigation and a third-row seat. The third-row isnt that big of a deal, but I would rather have it then not have it.Try to get one with a factory warranty too.
