My door sill lamp is out. How do you replace the bulb.

help.

On my 2003 G500. The door sill light on the passenger front door will not light up. I think it is a bulb (unless there are some "secret" button somewhere). This is the light on the threshold that reads "mercedes benz" in blue when the door is open.

But do anyone know how to get to the bulb. It is best if there are some step by step instructions.

thanks in advance.

There's no bulb, per se. The problem is more than likely the DC to AC (yes, the light is AC) converter. Very common problem.

iirc, its a little green box located in the kick panel on that side.

thanks for the info. So clarification. on terms

The "kick box" one of you mention is the fuse box, right? There is two on the passinger side. There is one under the glove box and the other to the left and a litle below. Are there the two you are talking about.

also the green converter you folks are talking about. Do it look like a relay switch (the ones for the flashing light?) ?

thanks
