Brake Light Bulb Alternative

Required brake light bulb is "P21W", GE P25-1, old GE #1057, Osram 7506.

Specs are S-8 12V 1.75A 21W 35CP BA15S .

I have plenty of unused GE #1073 S-8 12.8V 1.8A 23W 32CP BA15S.

Looks real close to me. Am I going to mess up any on-board computer/diagnostics/anything else by substituting a 1073 for a 1057?

I substitute bulbs on my older cars without problems, but I am scared of even deviating slightly on the ML.

Thanks

I've substitued the bulbs on mine without any problems.

I've had the 1073s in for 3 weeks with no problem, so I'll agree with Azinn.

You also might want to consider LED brake light bulbs from formymercedes.com. They give the person behind you an extra half second reaction time...
