ML 500 Comand UHI Bluetooth
 

I have taken delivery of a new 2007 ML 500 with factory Comand and UHI phone interface. I have added the expensive (AUD$ 1000) M-B Bluetooth Module shaped like an SLR McLaren which fits into the Phone compartment in the armrest and plugs directly onto the UHI and am using an older GSM phone of mine - a Nokia 6230 which is compatible with the Bluetooth (Unlike my newer Motorola 3G network phone).

All works beautifully except that I cannot do single digit dialling from the comand keypad eg "1" should give me my message-bank, "2" My wife, "3" Home etc.

I rescued the somewhat uninspiring booklet that came in the pack (The dealer was about to throw it out) with the Bluetooth unit and it says that I should be able to single digit dial the first 9 or 10 numbers on the SIM Card.

This doesn't seem to work and the agents are scratching their heads as well.

I know its hardly earth shattering stuff but if anyone knows anything useful I would appreciate your assistance.
