Indicator Lamps

The BAS/ESP and ETS indicator lamps on our 2001 ML320 are on continuously once the brake pedal is depressed. A complete brake job was done less than 2 years ago and has been driven about 12,000 miles. What is the likely cause of the malfunction indicators? Should I take it back to the brake shop or the dealer?

Probably a defective Brake Light Switch. Easy DIY, see http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w163-m-class/1166641-ets-bas-warning-light-fix.html?highlight=brake+light+switch

Hey azinn,
Thanks for the recommendation, the solution was right on! Bought the part for less than 20 bucks and installed in about 30 minutes start to finish.:pleased:
