Need to barrow/rent a tranny oil dip stick.

hello all,

I am planning to change my tranny oil on my ML this summer. Could anyone here lend/rent me a tranny oil dip stick.

As you all know the ML does not come with one and you only need it when you change the tranny oil.

I will gladly pick up (if near the bay area) or pay for postage.

Gladly give a reasonable deposit.

thanks

If you have the new 7G-Tronic, it does not have a dipstick tube at all. Changing the fluid is a real nightmare.

Note sure what you are talking about when you say 7G-tronic. But I have older tanny 5 speed tiptronic. It has a dip stick tube but not dip stick. You have to remove the seal and repalce with another.

Yes changing the fluid can be difficult but I have change tranny oil before (the last one I did did not even have a oil drain plug you have to remove the pan fill with oil).

Let me know if you anyone could help with the dip stick.
