bled brakes, now all brake lights on and beeping!

can someone tell me if this is part of the abs system resetting or notice of a pressure change after bleeding brakes? do i just need to take it to the dealer to get it reset?
the lights and beeping are intermittent and last a few seconds, if i hit the brakes, they go off earlier than they would if i didnt.

thanks,
chris

How did you bleed the brakes? Pressure bleeder?

yep, motive pressure bleeder. used it for many years of every car i have owned. at the moment, disconnecting the leads to the top of the reservoir cap solved the issue but it doesnt make sense.

Float stuck in the down position?

didnt check that. actually, didnt know that it moved at all, thought it was based on fluid level around the float.
can you tell me how to check that?

The float "hangs" down from the inside of the reservoir cap. It rises and lowers with the fluid level. When the fluid is low - or if it's stuck in the down position, it turns on the brake warning light.

Take the cap off and be sure that the float is present and moves freely. Also be sure that it's not holed and full of fluid; which would make it sink.
