'07 ML - Can it be lowered
Recently got a new '07 ML 320 CDI. The wife and kids complain it is just a bit too high. Is it possible to lower the car a bit without braking the bank?

i doubt anything under 2 grand. For a job done right,i personally would change the tires to low profile tires and that would reduce the height of the car substancially) But if you need the car lower than that you would also have to get a Four wheel alignment toe, caster, yaw everything so that the tires would wear evenly.

I'm surprised more people don't lower their ML's.
Don't know why four new lowering springs wouldn't do the job. I'd go to the Brabus site and see what packages they offer for lowering ML's Then I'd go to H&R's site and see what springs they offer for lowering. I'm not familiar with the ML suspension, if it has Airmatic or electric shocks? But whatever reps you talk to at any of the spring manufacturers, explain you don't want to stiffen the ride quality at all, just lowering. |
