i have a 2000 ml 320. i bought a new key at the dealer but the push buttons don't work. the dealer told me of a sequence to follow to get it to work but i think the guy in the service drive got it wrong. the problem was that when i picked up the new key i didn't have the car with me. anybody know how to do it???? thanks

If you bought a new key, the part that goes in the lock, it MUST be added with a programmer, found only at dealers and hi quality indies. If you just bought the fob, the programming instructions were probably correct.

Ask your dealer if you are eligible for a new All Activity Module (AAM) under a current recall. I"m not sure what VIN numbers are included so have your handy. Installing the free AAM would include programming the keys.
