Overhead trip computer - differences in years
 
Interested in buying an overhead trip computer for my 2000 ML320. Can anyone tell me the differences in functionality for each model year?

I'd like to have the compass function but do not know from what year this function was included.

What are all the functions incoporated in this trip computer?

Last question - is this a plug and play item?
