Is Zerex G-05 a good coolant replacement.

I have heard Zerex G-05 is identical to the coolant you can buy at the dealer at 1/2 cost is that true.

What do you guy/gal think

thanks

It's on MB's approved fluids list.

Zerex G-05 and MB coolant are identical, made by the same company, just packaged in different color, but identical, jugs.

On sale, the Zerex sometimes sells for under $12-15 a gallon.

Antifreeze

Zerex G05 is the way to go....I have it in my '84 380SL and '99 ML430 (the ML has almost 135,000) with NO issues.

Good quality antifieeze, im running it in my '78 SL-C. I spent $10.99 for the gallon and diluted it with distilled water. They also sell a similar Zerex product that already has the 50/50 mix (slightly less, hardly worth it as you need two gallons) if you are too lazy to mix your own. Interestingly enough, the G05 was the only antifreeze that mentioned MB on the label at my local autozone, take it for what its worth. . .
