Has any one out there changed the cabin air filter on thier ML? I have searched the site with the search engine and cannot seem to find any info. Thanks

I just did mine. It's is very very easy.

It is located under the panel beneath the glove box. Take a philips and unscrew the 2 screws (very visible). Look under the panel and you will see a black tab. Pull that forward (latch) and the panel will come right off. There are no funky tabs to break, so just pull down with steady pressure.

Once the panel is off, look under there and you will see a black rectangle. This has another tab (latch) and pull the latch to remove the cover. The air filter will slide straight down. Replace everything in reverse order and your good to go.

Question: As a quick fix I power washed mine but genius here cannot remember while seated in the car if the cloth side is on the left side facing the driver side / instrument panel and the gauze or like mesh type side faces the front passenger door side
