98 ml transmission only has reverse

Hello everyone, I have a 1998 ml 320 that had a major failure in the trans. A bearing or something failed and whent through the planetary gears causing major damage. I couldn't find a good used one so we attempted a rebuild. We replaced the input and output shafts, planetaries, a drum, some clutches and all the seals. The trans was completely disassembled down to the bare case. all the cluthes and pistons were taken apart and everything was completely cleaned. After reinstalling the trans it only has reverse on the hoist ( it was never taken off or the wheels put on the ground). I swapped another valve body in it to see if that could be the cause but nothing changed. Any help or technical advise would be appreciated.

Prob should do the torque converter and trans oil cooler too.

Then use SDS to clear trans codes. Will stay in limp home mode and cant work w/o that.

Did you remove and clean the F1 and F2 sprags, if so one or both could have been installed backwards. The F2 sparg is also part of the rear planetary sun gear, since you bought the planetary, do you have a F2 sprag installed in the rear sun gear. The sprags are holding for 1st gear. Try W mode, 2nd gear start.
