So, it's been 5 years, they've brought the diesel out, and I still don't have one. I do however have a new Ram Club Cab 2500 Limited 4x4 Diesel truck. The wife has a Jetta Sportwagen TDI. Not to mention the other 12 cars I have. I may still get one, time will tell. I flip flop like a fish sometimes.

Have not been to this site for a long time and good to see so many old timers still posting here.

I just joined the rank and bought an Iridium Silver Metallic 2010 CPO GLK 350 RWD that has the P1 package last weekend. I really love the ride and the GLK is every bit of a Mercedes. It is solidly built with no rattle or wind noise. The vehicle has one year left on the original warranty but since it is a COP, MB added an additional year of warranty. The GLK is bought locally from the same dealer so it has full service history. When I took ownership of the vehicle, the dealer handed me a 3-page printout on all the inspections and replacement parts to ensure it is almost as new including the 40K B Service (it only has 30K on the clock), new brake pads & rotors, and new Michelin on all 4 corners. And that, I was really impressed.

To top it all of, the salesman called the following Monday and told me he has a MB cargo tray waiting for me to pick up. It is a gift from him.

We just traded the 2000 ML320 for a new 2015 GLK350, and are pretty happy with it. There was nothing really wrong with the ML320, but we got 14 years of perfect service from it and sooner or later it was going to need an evaporator, new tires, and the brake pressure sensors on the master cylinder. Aside from one flat tire, two dead batteries, and a load of water contaminated fuel it never let us down

The new GLK is light years ahead of the ML320, for example when you park the car all you have to is stop the engine and open the door and the trans shifts to park by itself! It also has the new touch and go keyless system, where the key doesn't ever have to leave your pocket, you can lock and unlock the car by touching and of the four door handles and start the car by simply pushing the start stop button. Apparently the new motor has direct fuel injection and requires 91 Octane fuel or higher. Built in Germany, and it shows. The panel fit and finish is much better than the ML.

The first drive impressed us with the quietness and stability. The ML was great around town, but was always nervous at highway speeds and you had to drive it like a Jeep with both hands on the wheel.

After 4 years of ownership of a GLK350 rwd, there have been only two issues on this 2011 model. On the day of delivery, a sunroof lifter arm jammed and needed to be replaced. The second fault is a recurring mystery, the car has needed a washer bottle replacement, due to leaking, three times. Otherwise it's been a reliable and great road car.

We changed out the tan carpet mats to black since the tan shows dirt a lot faster; bought the roof cross bars, cargo management and lift over protector. About the only complaint is that the Comand nav system is prehistoric and I wish it did text to speech for street names.

Unfortunately, the boxy styling is going away with the next W205 GLC release. The spy photos show a more "swoopy" X205 car and incorporating the sculptured sides from the S-Class

The end of the boxy styling and current model convinced me to lease a 2015 glk. I understand the glk name will change to clk with the new jellybean shape. I prefer buying or leasing the last year of a model run instead of the first. So far it is pretty decent - meets my needs to haul my bike and tri kit around, quiet, comfortable, and reasonable cornering. The only issue has been the bugginess of updating the beckermappilot, but that eventually got resolved.

I would rather drive my wife's sl500, but the bike won't fit with the top up.
