I keep seeing occasional posts from owners stating that they get good service from Europa. I would like to state the contrary. I have, 80% of the time experienced
very bad parts service from Europa and now GwagenUSA.

I brought this to the attention of Anthony some months back, but have see no positive result. I am also in touch with them today over another miss-shipped order.

I have spent hundreds if not a couple of thousand dollars to support my mechanic as he waits for wrong parts to be shipped, or that never arrive.

I call Gwagen for some parts like a spring seat and they state that a part number does not even exist, which is bullsht becuase I got it from Germany with a part
number.

I am really furious, every order is a hassle, and costly. They never seem to know what parts are for what, and seem to have no idea about most anything.

I have never had to instruct a dealer in order for them to serve me, but have to do so at least 2-3 times per order with them.

Please respond if anyone has the same kind of problems, I surely cannot be the only one.

I keep having also to pay to ship back heavy boxes of parts that are sent wrong. Meanwhile my mechanic has a truck on one of only three of his lifts with it apart for
weeks.

There are parts I've ordered back in January that I still don't receive a call back on becuase obviously they are freaking clueless.

I've all but given up on them. I have a contact at Steyr Puch Parts now who is willing to drop ship. They take credit cards, you just need to know the part number
you want.

Please contact me personally for this information.

Also, MBUSA will (I am told) be able to order 460 parts. Dealers will not stock them, but many 463 parts are just fine for the 460, or are upgrades anyway and fit
good. I recently installed 463 series shocks on my G and they are great.

If Gwagen USA hopes to stay in business at all, they better change quick.

regards,

My parts experience only dates back two years. Probably around a dozen orders for parts that range from $1.50 throttle interface to a front end bearing cv joint kit (not inexpensive)

Anthony is the main person that I deal with and I can't complain about anything. I say that as a point of view, not to try and sway yours.

Would you mind sharing your Steyr Puch Parts phone number and the process. We are all alway slooking at different places and ways to locate parts.

I get suspicious of those who hide behind their "handles", suddenly show up out of no where complaining, or the worst, "the drive by shooting".

'nuff said about this.

This happened to me as well. I ordered a sun visor and they sent the wrong color.

Well, a few days later I got the right color (after complaint) and they never sent the return label for the old one. ($80)...This was 1 year ago. I still have the new part in the box.

Left side Tan sun visor.

wrong items shipped

Thanks for the benifit of the doubt Dutch. Actually, I was in Asia, and unable to connect for many days. The fact of the matter is, that the experiences I have had with GwagenUSA/Europa that were originally posted are completely true.

I am still having this issue this week, trying to get a bearing for my drivetrain. My car has been a mess since December, mostly living on the lift waiting for parts that either don't come, or are usually shipped incorrect, requiring that I reship them back and wait longer.

As for the parts numbers, I am not sure what Gwagen USA uses for finding parts numbers, but I assure you they were NOT able to source numbers for spring sets, and were NOT able to source either a number for spring seats, or the part itself.

I now have the part number, and the part from another source in Germany. GwagenUSA claimed that the part did not have a number and was only part of the chassis.

At anyrate, as I stated originally, I'm sure there are some folks out there that get good service, and others who do not. I, unfortunately, have had mostly bad experiences.
This included the purchase of my vehicle, handled by Europa, where I was misled about the condition (also at fault of owner), and flew all the way to Santa Fe, NM to find the truck rusted with the floors flooded with water under the mats, at which point salesman Russel shrugged, must be from the carwash! Yeah right.

Anyway, I am sorry for sharing my frustration and will no longer do so on this list or any other.

regards,
mike

your offer

Thank Dutch,

I appreciate the offer. I would be interested to see if this parts CD has a listing for part numbers on the following items:

Rear upper spring seat (460 chassis)

"red" rear spring set

"white" rear spring set

thanks,
mike

Mike,

Glad you weren't a mystery poster. WELCOME!!!

Dutch,

Thanks for helping out with the part numbers. Watch out. It could become a part time job for which we will owe you many brew-skis

reply for "dutch"

Dutch,

I'm not sure why you constantly need to be so synical, and protective of Europa, but that's your choice.

The part numbers seem to be correct. And this is great help, although unfortunately, there aren't copies of the CD available for everyone. I will soon have one of these from Germany when I go there in June for work.

The real question is, if you were able to find the numbers so fast, why did it take weeks for GwagenUSA to come back to me and still not be able to find these numbers??

Why do they claim that they have no history of dealing with these issues?

Oh, BTW, I'm still waiting on them to ship me the right bearing for my diff, another shipment I waited for which cam e wrong. My truck is sitting for weeks with the diff open on a lift in a garage, taking up my mechanic's space, and patience. When you are told that you will have a part, in a certain timeframe, you should be able to bank on that.

I'm not going to continue with this thread any longer becuase there is no gain from doing so for me personally.
My initial hope was to see if there were other folks out there with a similar issue so that perhaps GwagenUSA would realize they need to fix some service issues with parts.

My final statement, and flame as you may, is that these bbs's are just as much for helping each other with tuning the G's as they are for trying to see if there are other owners who are getting screwed out there. Just becuase you have had good experiences with GwagenUSA, that does not give you the right (although seemingly you have it anyway) to question my accountability, or that of any other posting owner. This includes those on the JT list who are trying to look into the G500 pricing issue. They have a right to talk and post about that without being flamed.

Sorry, I actually have a job that pays for my Gwagen, and I do travel 50% of the time, so I cannot live on this BBS, no I am not "in Asia again".

I will make the choice on my own to go to Steyr direct for parts in the future, you can stick with who you choose. I won't be judging your decision or statements like you have mine.

Oh, and by the way, as far as your questions of hiding behind aliases, do you have a real name or is it "Dutch"

The problem with these BBS's is that we don't ever get to meet. Perhaps you're a great guy, perhaps I am too, but will we ever know if we just keep trying to police each other??

Mike Serpe

Been good to me.

I have a 80 280GE in the shop for some minor crash repair to the left rear section. Ordered the necessary 4 pieces of sheet metal, plus some small incidentals, and everything came in correctly, and on time.

For what its worth,
