Reprogramming AAM
I purchased a used all activity module (AAM) to replace the blown one in my 1998 ML320. Now the dealer tells me that new AAM's have to be ordered by VIN, can only be programmed once, and are married to the original car forever. The vendor for the AAM says he has them reprogrammed all the time. Which is correct, and who is likely to be able to do this other than the dealer?

Many indies have equiptment to CODE & program NEW AAM's!
You can't use a used one from a different car! You also have to purchase a NEW master key at the same time from DEALER! it is required to download info into the new AAM. |
