Question Ml 350 dead battery i thought ?

The other day we had a very big snow storm here and the next day i went to start my ml 350 and notice my battery light blinking. i thought it was odd so i went an brought a new battery cost of 150.00 bucks....and then today went out and notice my gauges wasn't working right like my heated seat button was flashing, and my radio was fading in and out..when i was driving ... so when i arrive at my destination i cut off the car and then try to restart it and the battery was dead... i got a jump and make it back home so tell me now do you think its my alternator.....that i need to change now.......

Year of ML would help.

Most likely the charging system, possibly just the voltage regulator.

In the time I had my 2003 ML350, the battery was replaced during each visit to the dealership. It was changed at no cost to me, but troublesome nonetheless. What was more troublesome is that they couldn't find out why they needed to replace the battery each time. I never even indicated an issue with the battery when I bought it in for service.

It was a nice car, but it spent too much time at the dealer for a brand new car of its price.
