It's part of the conductor plate, and it lives on top of the valve body. Why do you need to get to it?

Ml will not start, put key into ingition, all lights come on, when you turn it it acts like it getting relayed power but not to starter. It started acting up a week ago, and after turning key and mashing brake and moving shifter, it started....so assumming the neutral switch has gone totally out now...checked relays and fuses..ok, dont think it is the key program because of the way she acts when trying to start her????

Is there a way to bypass or test the neutral safety switch without causing damage? In that I mean can the relay be "jumped"? I dont want to cause expensive computer damage. This thing is killing me and I am about 70 miles from the nearist MB dealer, and the last time a took her in for a recall they tried to tell me she needed new motor mounts....that I changed for 1/10 the price and found out were not damaged. Thanks for the direction to the switch location, its in the sensor board, and not like the older styles. I am leaning toward a key issue, but I dont know how that should affect the starting. I reprogrammed the key using the owners manual and still nothing. Any ideas.
thanks
