Center shaft bearing failed again?

I replaced center shaft bearing in my '99 ML 320 about 3 years or 26k miles ago. Now I hear the same noise grinding noise again. I checked the shaft for play but it appears firm, there was a dark film around the bearing seal.
The noise comes from the center floor, could it be something else producing the noise?

Was the support OE or aftermarket quality?

The transfer case chain can make noises on acceleration. Recent fluid change?

Thanks MBDOC, I'm affraid it might have been aftermarket the maker is Uro. Was not cheap though, at $130 only $70 shy of the MB retail price of $200 at that time. No fluid changes recently.

It is interesting how the cheap parts actually make the job end up costing more because you have to do it twice.
