2006 Sprinter dash / instrument issues
 

I might have a chance to but a 06 sprinter that has electrical issues.

Supposedly all warning lights blink and no gauges operate.

I did find a post on Instrument cluster, gauges - Sprinter-Forum speaking of the fuel pump harness melting and injects 12V to the fuel level circuit.

Anyone know if this is common or is there another problem?

It it the NCV3 or the earlier VA chassis ? On the VA...up to 2005 ....there was a common problem with the fuse block and ignition electrical switch.

The foot brake switch is also a commonly failing part. All these parts are reasonable in price. I suspect you have a problem with the fuse block.

Remove the steering column cover and wriggle the fuse block assembley....you may find it gets the gauges working for a short time.
