W164 Steering Rack Replace DIY

I have a leaking steering rack on my 2008 ML320 CDI. The dealer says it needs to be replaced and has estimated $3K for parts and labor. I would like to do it myself, however I can't seem to find a DIY on the subject. Has anyone out there done this job? Any recommendations, any links to any DIYs on this topic?

Thanks in advance!

Not a fun job, the front differential is in the way and has to come out first.

Subframe has to come down, which supports the engine so engine must be supported first. Then it is pretty easy...
There are parts you can change on the vehicle if its leaking from the input seal (not the sides).
