You could try a USB-C to HDMI adapter and hook up to an external screen if it's only the screen that's dead. You'd probably need a hub and a mouse as well since the touch screen is shot - I'm not sure if you can navigate with just the keyboard off hand. Something similar happened to my mother, and she lost some important stuff that was on there. She went to someone who specializes in data recovery, so if you can't do it yourself, reach out to someone more experienced. And make sure not to mess around in order not to make things worse and unrecoverable.
