r class remote start
 

Hello, my daughter has an R class and has asked me to ask you all if there is a remote start that can be added to her car that you all can recommend?

It's a gas engine. Not sure of the age....maybe a 2010 or newer?

I'm not sure if I would want to cut into the wiring to install one. These newer ones can get pretty persnickety if you just put the wrong light bulb in. If your daughter's R-class is the newer style (second gen), I have a set of mud flaps for it I bought on e-bay that won't work with mine. They're yours for the cost of shipping.

There's several companies that offer it - and actually there's a kit on ebay with fairly good reviews and isn't too expensive (maybe $300?).

I'm actually looking into installing one on my ML as I'm turning it into an overland rig, and at times want to be able to keep the AC running for the dogs while I'm away from the car.

How soon is she looking to get it done? I'm doing a little bit of suspension work in the next money (lifting it to fit some 31 inch mud tires), and was planning to tackle this late July.
