2014 GLK Dipstick Question
I have a 2014 GLK 350 (2WD) that is supposed to hold 7.4 qts of oil per the owners manual. I drained the oil the old fashioned way (drain Plug) and installed a new filter then added 7 qts of oil. After running it for a few minutes it registers above max by 1/4 inch. After driving it 20+ miles and letting it sit overnight it still registers above max. If I were to add the additional .4 qts it would be about 3/4" above the max. The dipstick in it has the Mercedes emblem and A27618 on the top and no other information. I bought this used from a dealer but do not trust that the incorrect dipstick may have been installed. Can someone with a 2014 or 2015 GLK 350 measure the dipstick from the end of the red plastic to the bottom of the green cap so I can compare with mine? Thanks in advance.

I maintain the wife 14 GLK350 and I will fill with 6.5 quarts then start checking/adding till midway between hi/love cold. I'll measure it and let you know tomorrow.

Thanks Jim for the info. The manual says 7.4 the dealer where i purchased it said 8.5 and everything I look up says anywhere from 6.9 to 8.5. That probably explains why it was an inch above the max when I purchased it. Another reason why I do my own maintenance.
