Exclamation ML warranty work-things to look for!!!!!

Fellas: I posted this on another MB board that I am on. Hopefully it will help someone know which direction to look in pertaining to
possible problems that may occur.

Darryl and others:
I was down to 190 miles left on the warranty, so I was looking for anything
that may have given me problems down the road. After owning the W140
you know the first thought on my mind was the AC. I went to the dealer
and had 4 more things on the list.
1. wood around the gear shifter seemed uneven.
Dealer remounted

2. Car makes noise over bumps(rear interior plastic)
Dealer remounted

3. Check transmission shift
Dealer drove up lots of my gas-no problem found. Note they just replaced
the Mass air sensor last month to solve this problem. Service guy laughed and
said I was paranoid:-) I said maybe, but check it anyway. NO problem found.

4. AC not as cold as it should be. It was 93 in Cleveland last week.
Dealer Stated that seals were going bad in the compressor, and I was
down 1/3 of a pound. They replaced the compressor and seals. If any
of you have a ML. you may want to get this checked out while you are
under warranty. I doubt if I was the only one with bad seals in their
compressor. The service tech stated that he replaced it, because I would
have been mad if he charged the system and it went down in 2 months
and he would have charged me $1200.00 for the repair. I told him
that he was wise beyond his years.

BELOW IS THE STUFF THE DEALER JUST COMPLETED
3 WEEKS AGO Darryl and Fellow Listers:

I took the ML 430 in for service with 500 miles left on the warranty. I had
a list of
(5) items to have checked. They repaired everything.

1. Transfer case vibration.
Dealer replaced- labor and parts

2. Check transmission shifting
Dealer replaced mass airflow sensor, also had intermittent electrical
failure

3.Center console slightly loose(O.K I was reaching a bit)
Dealer tightened

4. Passenger airbag light on wrongly
Dealer stated chiled seat ACP sensor shorted--- repaired

5.Horn sounded funny :-(
Dealer stated horns shorted- replaced them both
