Drooling over Cab 300GD
I found a CAB 300gd.. my dream car.. the bestof 3 words.. 1. diesel. 2. cab 3. truck/monster.
Just curious, 3 things 1. IS Manitance is the same or more than my 300sd? which is realy low.. just regeural schedule.. ntn to big? 2. Do Cov leak? will it be comfortable inside like a normal cov? or willi bee in a jeep plastic paper situation? 3. will any insurnce company cover me i have 21st centruy? the one i found happens to be green my wish is to paint it silver/black get 22" rims add like 5 LCd's and orginal nintedoes and atari's and fil the rear with 2 15" subs. DREAM CAR DROOL! |

Question is the covertable top manuel? and is is possible to convert the front grill to the new stile onthe 463?
i would also need a rear tire cover huh? |

The 460 top is not power. I dont think the 463 power top can be adapted, not that you need it. The grill can be changed but I think then you have to change the bumper and headlights too to complete the makeover, not really worth $$$$. Obviously on the 460 maintaince will be higher. The engine is more ore less the same, yes, but there are a lot more things in the driveline the can fail (not that they will) and these are more expensive parts than for your SD. Things like brake rotors/pads, bearings, diff locks and related hydraulics, trasfer case, and seals for all these things will need attention on a 20 year old car so just keep that in mind. Used parts are few and far between but can be had. Once you get it sorted out it should be good.
