Automatic Liftgate not opening after dead battery

Ok guys/gals.

For ML350 2008. Wife left light on in car dead batter had to use manual key to open door to recharged batter had 11.2 vote before recharging. Recharged seem to be fined drove it around a few times around town not battery issues detected.

Today found out the auto lift gate will not open. The locks will click open and lock as normal but the gate will not automatically lift/open. I can manually open the gate but when open pushing the red button or the key bottoms will not operate the automatic gate. . I have attached a large battery in parallel (to eliminate the battery as an issue) but not changed.

Is there a way to reset the gate after battery change like the window? How would you folks trouble shoot this?
