I am converted

Finally, after 65K with the ML320. Converted from dino to synthetic Mobile 1. Now just hope nothing will go wrong. I still plan on keeping oil change frequently, probably every 5K instead of the FSS 12K.

Now, I am wondering if I should do the same for my R129. It has exactly 70K on the clock. The car is a garage queen, and I have been changing oil every 3K

On your 95 R129, I guess I wouldn't worry as much about having synthetic in it. You COULD do it if you wanted.
The thing about the 112 and 113 engines is that the piston rings are very light tension and are more affected by any varnish build-up than the earlier engines, this is to increase fuel mileage. MB really wants synthetic in these 112 and 113 engines.
