After 62,000 miles I replaced my Dunlop Granteks with Nokian WRs. Having been very happy happy with the Nokians that replaced the Firestone Firehawks that came on my previous vehicle, a Saturn SC-2, that allowed me to get up my driveway in the snow. I went with the Nokians because besides giving great winter traction, they are all-season and don't require another set of rims and tires to change over to in the winter. Most snow tires are so soft they only last 2 or 3 seasons, while my experience with Nokians is that they are a long wearing tire that still gives great traction. My interest is on the winter traction as I do alot of winter hiking and skiing. The WRs while all-season are severe service rated for winter and offroad driving, a good compromise.
