Look in the index of your owners manual for "Flexible Service System", it tells you how to do it there.

I've never seen an aution like that one before, go study it. They say "they will mail or fax it to you for free", and the object of the bidding seems to be getting to the lowest bid, not highest. Go look at the bid history on it, it started at $15.00, and is presently at $2.99. Weird. He seems to be wanting to help people with resetting the FSS, although it is in all the owners manual, it's NO secret.

I still don't "get it". I emailed the guy a question asking for an explaination, no word back yet. Comment still stands that it's in the manual. And in the auction he says he'll fax or mail it to you for free (unless he's just saying there in no shipping charges, but if he can fax it to you, I'd say he can sell alot more than 10 of them).

Haha..

Well Gilly, I don't think he can sell so many.. because most people who own a mercedes are either educated, or smarter than the regular person.. they will read the manual.. well even if they don't read the entire manual they will read the service part for sure.. also there are alot of people selling "auto alarm and starter kit wiring diagrams for individual car"! sometimes they go $8 US each.. if you buy the OMEGA alarm installer cd (or something similar that auto alarm installers use) , it comes with every cars diagram since 1979 to 2002! that is probably where the guy is getting the information from! HEHE

NOTICE no one bought any =P

I have this OMEGA cd for my shop purposes.. its very helpful indeed... or you can join

and get the same information for free, and they have a great active forum too!
