Does the 2000 ML 430 have a filter that cleans interior cabin air?

If so, how many does it have, where are they located and how often should they be replaced?

It has one-it's fairly large, located under the dash on the passengers side.
It's replaced at the B service, so approx. every 20,000 miles.
